a week agoThe amount of times I’ve ordered from this place over the past years just tells you how good they are. They have the BEST shawarmas and it never disappoints. The people working there are always great too. Definitely recommend.

a month agoGemuse is a must try and added to your regular rotation of meals! We drive 25-30 minutes just to get to their truck. The guys are so sweet and remember us every time. We have eaten doner wraps and kebabs in Austria and they knew exactly how we would like them made. Every time we’ve gone, then food is top notch!

4 months agoDoner style — the Odessa-style doner is the one. I’ve tried many doners here in the U.S., but none were even close to the doners in Almaty. This Gemüse doner actually exceeded my expectations. It was very juicy, with all the ingredients that an Almaty-style doner is supposed to have. Highly recommend everyone try the Odessa-style doner!

6 months agoTried the Gemüse Kebab and the Odesskaya shawarma — both were really good. The Gemüse Kebab had fresh veggies, cooked just right, with warm bread and tasty sauces. The Odesskaya shawarma was huge and delicious, very filling, with a real Turkish taste. Everything felt fresh and worth it. Definitely coming back. I really recommend for you!

6 months agoWe stopped by this food truck today and were seriously impressed. First off, the place is super clean, which we really appreciated. The food was even better — we tried both the chicken and beef wraps, and they were hands-down the best we’ve had in a long time. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the staff greeted us with such friendly, welcoming energy that it made the whole experience even better. You can tell they take pride in what they do. We live in Dallas, but we’ll definitely be coming back here every time we’re in Houston. Highly recommend this spot!

The food is fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. The meat is perfectly seasoned, the veggies are always crisp, and the sauces bring everything together beautifully. Ali and Mardan make the experience even better — they’re incredibly friendly, welcoming, and you can tell they take real pride in what they do. They treat you like a regular from day one, and their positive energy adds its own flavor to the meal. 8 months agoIf you haven’t tried Gemuse Doner Kebab yet, you’re seriously missing out on one of Houston’s hidden gems! We went with the Gemuse Chicken Kebab, and honestly, it blew us away. The sandwich is layered with perfectly seasoned chicken—juicy, tender, and grilled to perfection—tucked into soft, warm bread that’s so easy to chew. What really sets it apart are the fresh vegetables piled high inside: crisp cucumbers, juicy carrots, shredded lettuce, feta cheese, and cucumbers that give it just the right freshness. Add in their creamy garlic sauce and a touch of spice, and every bite becomes this addictive balance of freshness and flavor. My friend swears he’s been losing weight eating these because of how surprisingly healthy and filling the sandwich is—lean protein, loads of veggies, and not greasy at all. You leave satisfied without feeling heavy. That’s not something you can say about most street food! We did have a bit of a wait, but let me tell you, it’s 100% worth it. The team running the truck is super nice, patient, and helpful with recommendations, which just makes the experience even better. On the side, we grabbed fries that were golden, crispy, and piping hot—the perfect pairing for the sandwich. We already know what we’re getting next time: the famous Odesskya Shawarma. Everyone kept talking about it at the truck—it’s literally the size of your head! That one is a must-try on our next visit. If you’re in Houston and craving something fresh, flavorful, and filling, Gemuse Doner Kebab is the spot. Easily a 5-star experience.
